Colette A. Tommasino Olean, NY-Colette A. Tommasino, 85, passed away peacefully Monday (March 16, 2009) at The Pines Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Olean. Born August 3, 1923 in Pittsburgh, PA she was the daughter of John R. and Sarah Jones Wilson. On November 16, 1963 she married Dr. Orest J. Tommasino who died August 22, 2005. In 1941, Mrs. Tommasino graduated from St. Justin's Academy in Pittsburgh and then studied to be an accountant. She worked in the accounting departments of several large corporations in Pittsburgh and Chicago until she and her husband moved to Olean in 1963. In 1990, they retired to the Mount Washington area of Pittsburgh. Mrs. Tommasino was an extremely strong woman who overcame many hardships. Her greatest accomplishment and greatest joy was having 3 children despite being told by doctors that it would be impossible. She never lost her appreciation for the miracle of motherhood. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends for her selflessness, generosity and kindness. She is survived by her children Francis (Anne) Tommasino of Newport News, VA, Sarah (Paul) Knieser of Olean and John W. Tommasino of Hornell; 7 grandchildren Francis Tommasino and Christine Tommasino, both of Newport News, Nigel Knieser, Abraham Knieser, Sarah "Missy" Knieser, Ruby Knieser and John R. W. "Jack" Knieser, all of Olean; a sister Nancy Suffern Bennett of Houston, TX; a brother John R. "Jack" Wilson, currently of Absolut Healthcare of Salamanca; sisters-in-law Alice Vennare and Yolanda (Felix) Vennare, both of Pittsburgh and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by a brother Henry Loy Wilson; sisters-in-law Marie Angela Garrett, Olga Pantoni, and Gerie Wilson; a niece Mary Lou McHenry and a nephew John Felix Vennare. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig &amp; Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State St. Olean on Thursday from 6-8pm. Funeral services will be held Friday (March 20, 2009) at 1:15pm in the funeral home. Rev. Gregory Dobson, pastor of St. Mary of the Angels Church in Olean, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to The Friends of The Pines Healthcare Center 2245 W. State St. Olean, NY 14760 would be appreciated. <h3>Visitation</h3> Visitation will be Thursday evening at the funeral home from 6-8pm <h3>Services</h3> Funeral and committal services will be held Friday (March 20, 2009) at 1:15pm in the funeral home. <h3>Interment</h3> Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery
