Kenneth D. Studd Allegany-Kenneth D. Studd, of 3707 Carey Hollow Road, passed away Sunday (February 22, 2009) at his home. Born April 2, 1926 in Little Valley, NY he was the son of Paul and Eva Miller Studd. He first married Myrtle Marie Stead, who predeceased him. He later married Patricia Byrk, who survives. Mr. Studd was employed for 44 years and retired from Dresser Rand Co. as an inspector. He was a life member of the Olean Moose Lodge. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and being outdoors. He was an avid reader and also enjoyed flying small planes. Surviving besides his wife, are 3 daughters Michelle (Mark) Wilcox of Allegany, Leslie Studd of Olean, Wendy Studd of Olean; 4 step- children Cheryl Etheridge, Julie Etheridge, Lynn Etheridge, Daniel Etheridge; his grandchildren Manda (Jared) Layton of Alabama, Angela (Russell) Durratt of Louisana and Joshua, Emma and Bethany who were the light of his life; 2 great-grandchildren Jackson Layton and Lauren Layton and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his first wife he was predeceased by 1 daughter Jeanne Crooks and 1 brother Donald Studd. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig and Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Road, Olean on Thursday (February 26, 2009) from 12-2:30pm for a memorial visitation. A prayer service will follow at 2:30pm.in the funeral home. Burial will be in Allegany Cemetery. Memorials if desired may be made to the American Cancer Society 6725 Lyons St. PO Box 7, East Syracuse NY 13057 or to the SPCA 2944 Olean-Hinsdale Road, Olean, NY 14760. <h3>Visitation</h3> Memorial visitation will be held Thursday (February 26, 2009) from noon to 2:30pm <h3>Services</h3> A prayer service will be held at 2:30pm in the funeral home. <h3>Interment</h3> Burial will be in Allegany Cemetery
