Obituary of Terry P. Flaherty

TERRY P. FLAHERTY ROME, NY - Terry P. Flaherty, formerly of Olean, died Wednesday April 23, 2003 at his residence. Born in Olean on March 10, 1950 he was a son of Edward and Donna Flagg Flaherty. Mr. Flaherty was a 1968 graduate of Olean High School. He attended Genesee Community College and served with the United States Air Force from 1969 until his retirement in 1996. He enjoyed fishing, reading, cooking and conversation. He is survived by his mother, Donna (Thomas) Geise of Williamsport, PA; a sister, Catherine Harrelson of St. Petersburg, FL; two brothers, David Flaherty of Olean and Edward (Judith Allanson) Flaherty, Jr. of Oxfordshire, England; two nephews, Dylan and Ciaran. Friends will be received on Monday April 28, 2003 from 7-9 PM at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 West State Rd., Olean. Where funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday April 29, 2003 at 10:00 AM. Rev. Gregory Dobson, pastor of St. Mary of the Angel's Church will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Allegany. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to a charity of the donor's choice.
