Renold D. “Rennie” Campbell
Olean, NY Renold D. “Rennie” Campbell, 67, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday (May 23, 2024) after an illness, with his son Steven by his side.
Born July 18, 1956 in Olean, he was the son of Hugh and Elizabeth Baker Campbell. For many years he enjoyed the loving companionship of his special friend Michelle Ofano.
Rennie was raised in Olean and attended Olean High School. Growing up as one of six children, he was part of a busy family and spent enjoyable days swimming at the lake. As a twin, he and his brother Ronald travelled extensively, and he visited nearly every state in the Union. As an adult, he continued his love of fishing and enjoyed playing bingo. His pets, especially dogs, were an important part of his life. He could often be seen walking them on the dikes.
He worked for a long period of time for Stroehmann’s Bakery in Olean and also for Walmart in town.
Besides his loving companion Michelle, he leaves behind a son Steven Campbell of Olean; a sister Evon (Harvey) McClure of Douglasville, GA, and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased his parents, his twin brother Ronald Campbell, and 3 other brothers Theodore Campbell, Stanley Campbell, and Daniel Campbell.
No services are being scheduled at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, Olean.
