Obituary of Victor J. Clayson

Victor J. “Barney” Clayson Hinsdale, NY Victor J. “Barney” Clayson, of Hinsdale, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday (October 18, 2023). Born December 16, 1960 in Cuba, he was the son of Ronald J. and Lola A. Shaffer Clayson. On November 3, 1984 at the Clayson farm, he married Lisa J. Dutton who survives. Victor worked for 40 years for Hysol Co., now Sol Epoxy, as a production operator in the Pre-blend and Extursion department. He enjoyed hunting, riding his side-by-side in the family woods along with his wife and their hound-dog “Zoey”, and time spent with family. Barney is survived by his wife Lisa, a daughter Alicia (Justin) Mihalik of Hinsdale; his mother Lola Clayson of Hinsdale; 3 brothers William (Nancy) Clayson, Timothy (Vicki) Clayson, and Chris (Marsha Holly) Clayson, all of Hinsdale; 3 sisters Sara Coen of Hinsdale, Julie (Chuck) MacNeal of Olean, and Pennie (Barbara) Clayson of Phoenix, AZ, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Ronald J. Clayson, and a brother-in-law Robert L. Coen. Friends and family will be contacted at a later date for a celebration of Barney’s life.
