Judy A. Barbuto
Franklinville, NY. Judy Ann Barbuto, 74, of Franklinville passed away peacefully on Saturday (October 1, 2022) surrounded by her beloved children, from a short battle of cancer.
Born July 10, 1948 in Buffalo, she was the daughter of Rose Plewa whom she loved and missed dearly.
Judy didn’t praise the fancy things in life. She didn’t have a fancy home, or nice cars. She didn’t have a high education or a dream job. What she did have was much more. She was rich with faith, love, and family.
She was a mother of 6 children who all surrounded her in love in her last days, never leaving her side. She was a grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend to many. She left a legacy of faith for her family and is known as the Crown of her Family. She will always be reminded of how she made people laugh, even leading up to her final days. She loved her grandchildren to her very soul, and most importantly, she loved Christ. It’s the little things her family will remember about her- like how she enjoyed doing basket raffles, having potato pancakes, family gatherings, and listening to old church hymns. She also never missed the opportunity wherever there was a dessert table. She enjoyed being home with her dogs, including having her own business, Pups R Us kennel. She was everything you could want in a mother, always putting her children first. Words are hard to describe the person she was, because there are no words that are as beautiful as she was. She will be deeply missed but we rejoice that she is in the arms of her Savior.
She leaves behind her 6 children, Sandra Auge, Lee Suleski, Shelly Burdic, David Rutherford, Rebecca Rutherford, and Jamie Kemp, along with her 22 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and her sons-in-law of whom she was so proud. Also surviving are her sister Darlene Plewa, her beloved best friend Annie of 60+ years, and her sister-in-law Sherrie (whom she loved to dance with), along with her many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her Mother Rose Plewa and her beloved brother Daniel “Butchie” Plewa.
At Judy’s request, no formal burial services will be held. A celebration of life gathering will be held in her memory on Tuesday (October 11, 2022) at 12:00pm. It will take place at 2522 W Five Mile Rd in Allegany. All are welcome to attend. A luncheon will follow the service.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, Olean.
