Richard R. “Rich” Price Port Allegany, PA Richard R. “Rich” Price, 48, of Port Allegany, passed away Monday (April 25, 2022) from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Born July 2, 1973 in Olean, he was the son of Ricky L. and Patricia Baire Price. On June 20, 1998 at the chapel of The Citadel Military College in Charleston, SC he married Tiffany Ann Goude who survives. Rich was a graduate of Princess Ann High School in Virginia Beach, VA where he was a National Honor Society student as well as a member of the Junior ROTC rifle team. Shortly after graduating he enlisted in the US Army in 1992 and was stationed principally in Seoul, South Korea. He was honorably discharged in 1995 at which time he moved to Port Allegany. He was currently employed for Lumen Technologies in Coudersport and was a talented technician. He was a proud and supportive father to his children and was present for their many academic, sports and musical activities. He was also a huge Buffalo Bills fan and loved to hunt and fly fish since he was a young man. As an adult, he was a Mason since 2008 and served as Past Master of the Northern Star Lodge 555 of Duke Center. He also was a life member of the Conservation Club in Eldred and belonged to the Eldred American Legion Post 887. He had attained the rank of Eagle Scout and had been currently serving as a Scout Master for Troop #413 in Duke Center. As a proud veteran, Rich was a member of the Patriot Guard Riders and was also a volunteer EMT with the Port Allegany Ambulance Service. He leaves behind his loving wife Tiffany; his parents Rick and Patricia Price of Duke Center; his maternal grandfather Richard Baire of Duke Center; 4 children Zarek (Nancy Learn), Blake, Kaden and Devannie (Zach Bomar); 1 brother Robert L. Price of Kane, PA and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother Margaret Baire and his paternal grandparents Guy and Virginia Price. Friends will be received on Friday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Rd., Olean. Visitation will continue Saturday (April 30, 2022) from 11am until noon at which time a funeral service will be held. Rich’s father, Pastor Rick Price, will lead the service. Burial will be in Mt. View Cemetery Veterans Field of Honor where the Eldred American Legion will accord full military honors. Members of the Northern Star Lodge #555 of Duke Center will hold a Masonic service Friday at 7:45pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a veteran organization of the donor’s choice. Online condolences may be expressed at oleanfuneralhome.com.
