Obituary of Shirley A. Boni

Shirley M. Boni Jacksonville, FL Shirley A. Boni, a longtime resident of Allegany, passed away Sunday (February 21, 2021) after a brief illness in Jacksonville where she had resided since 2006. Born October 15, 1935 in Kane, PA, she was the daughter of Noble and Virginia Wolfe Fitch. On March 28, 1964 she married Frank Boni who survives. Shirley was a graduate of Olean High School and later married and raised her family. She worked for many years for Community Bank in Olean in its loan operations department, retiring in 1991. She continued working part-time for Park and Shop Service Stores. While in Jacksonville she was employed as a crossing guard. She looked forward to going to work every day. She enjoyed hearing the stories that the kids would share with her. She loved the kids as much as they loved her. She enjoyed spending time with her family and furbaby grandson Tank, knitting, reading, making homemade ravioli’s and going to the dinner theater with her daughter Mary. Surviving are a daughter Mary (Christopher) Zimmerman of Jacksonville, FL; 2 granddaughters Angela Kula of Allegany and Andrea (Shane) Thorn of East Aurora; 1 sister Sandra (Paul) Shaw of Dothan, AL; a son-in-law Paul Kula of Olean and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter Deborah Kula on December 4, 2013, and a sister Diane Harris in Florida in 2007. At Shirley's request, there will be no services planned.
