Antonio Ortiz, Jr.

 

Olean, NY     Antonio Ortiz, Jr., of 350 Front Street, passed away Thursday (December 13, 2018) at home, with his loving family by his side.

 

Born September 10, 1952 in Chicago, Illinois he was the son of Antonio Ortiz Sr. and Rosa Berrios. On February 2, 1980 in Bronx, New York he married Lucy Ramirez who survives.

 

Mr. Ortiz was a dedicated employee at the Rehabilitation Center in Olean for 20 years as supervisor for custodial services.

 

In his free time, he enjoyed darts, boating, four wheeling, pool, and watching the New York Yankees and the San Francisco 49ers. He was a member of the Rod and Gun Club of Olean. He will be sorely missed as a loving father and husband. Mr. Ortiz was passionate about serving others, especially to his many friends.

 

Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are 5 sons Robert (Crystal) Rivera, Tony (Maritza) Ortiz Jr., Michael (Kristina) Rivera, Richard (Jeanne) Ortiz, and Brian Tobola ; 2 daughters Ashley Ortiz and Sonja Ortiz ; several grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren ; 2 sisters Rosa Ramirez and Yolanda Ortiz and 2 half sisters Nancy Gonzales and Naida Gonzales.

 

He was predeceased by 2 brothers.

 

Friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation from 2pm-6 pm on Saturday (December 29,2018) at the Magnano Reception Room on the JCC Olean campus.
