Glenda M. Malarae

Allegany, NY     Glenda M. Malarae of 110 E. Main St. passed away Tuesday (December 12, 2017) at the Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo after a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family.

Born March 24, 1945 in Allegany she was the daughter of Leo and Thelma Dunham Hitchcock.  

Glenda was a 1964 graduate of Allegany Central School and had been employed as a manager for Kentucky Fried Chicken in Jacksonville, FL.  In recent years her great enjoyment was in spending time with her grandchildren and in playing bingo.

Surviving are a daughter Candi (Samuel) Cotto of Orange Park, FL; a son Tony (Loretta Cleven) Malarae of Hayward, CA; 6 grandchildren Samuel "Trey" Cotto, III, Justin Cotto, Joshua Cotto, Anthony Malarae, Alexander Malarae and Dustin Malarae; 2 sisters Betty (Barry) Glover of Crawfordville, FL and Emeline Belli of Allegany and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.

Friends will be received from 1-2pm on Saturday (December 16, 2017) at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Rd. Olean.  A remembrance service will follow at 2pm in the funeral home.

Those wishing to make a donation in Glenda's memory are asked to consider a financial contribution to her daughter Candi for the purpose of offsetting funeral costs.
