Timothy R. Conner
Columbus, OH Timothy R. Conner, 69, a former Allegany resident, passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2017 in Westerville, Ohio.
Tim was born in Olean to the late Cleo Conner and Virginia Oakleaf Conner. He was married to his loving wife Lucy A. Willover who survives.
Tim grew up in Allegany and was a 1966 graduate of Allegany Central School. He was a sergeant in the United States Air Force having served during the Vietnam War. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 35 years of service.
Tim and Lucy were longtime members of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church in Columbus. They were also members of Ohio Pug Rescue and lovingly fostered numerous pugs over the years. Tim was an active member of The Worthington American Legion Post 239 Color Guard and was an avid antique car enthusiast. In Tim's retirement, he drove a school bus for various local schools.
In addition to his loving wife Lucy of 47 years, he is survived by his mother Virginia Conner and brother David (Lauren Ross) Conner; nieces, Melanie Conner and Erica Byers; one grand-niece, Lydia and two grand-nephews, Avery and Ian.
Family will receive friends on Thursday November 2, 2017 from 10:00am to 11:00am at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean. A funeral service will begin immediately afterwards. He will be laid to rest at Chestnut Hill Cemetery in Portville.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, 1450 E. Dublin-Granville Rd., Columbus, OH 43229 in Tim's honor.
