Obituary of Vickie Casey

Vickie J. Casey Allegany, NY Vickie J. Casey, 72, passed away Thursday (May 21, 2026) at Absolut Care of Salamanca where she had recently been residing. Born May 16, 1954 in Olean, she was the daughter of Oakley and Donna Hakes Phearsdorf. Vickie was a graduate of Allegany Central School and later served with the US Navy as an aviation ordnance tech, Third Class. She lived in Allegany for most of her life and worked for several years in the construction business with the Local 621 Laborers’ Union in Olean. She enjoyed fishing, as well as reading, knitting, and crafting. She is survived by three brothers, Bruce (Connie) Phearsdorf, Timothy (Jean) Phearsdorf, and Donald (Danielle) Phearsdorf, and nieces and nephews, Timothy, Jr., Matt, Hannah, Oakley, III, Amanda, Jammie, and Donald, Jr. She was predeceased by her parents. The family will hold private services, with burial next to her parents in Allegany Cemetery. Arrangements are with the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, Olean.
