Obituary of Donna L. Wilson

Wilson Allegany, NY Donna Louise Wilson, 89, passed away at Absolut Care of Allegany on Sunday (February 22, 2026). Born on January 22, 1937 in Clarion, PA, she was the daughter of the late Walter Leroy and Lois Louise Ginkle Wilson. Donna completed training in drafting at BOCES. She was an employee of Acme Electric for several years at both the Cuba and Allegany plants. She also practiced upholstery locally for a few years as well. She was an artist in her own right and was skilled at freehand drawing and painting. She loved gardening and devoted much of her life to her family and her pets. Donna leaves behind her only child, her daughter, Victoria Ann Marie Wilson Thompson; three grandchildren, Clifford Justin “C.J.” Thompson, Jamie Lee Thompson Stutz, and Shae (Caleb) Bess; seven great grandchildren, David Ross Thompson, Sierra Nola Stutz, Keaton Carter Bess, Travis Christopher Price, Ashlynn Marie Price, Kendrick Hale Bess, and Kyrie Nova Bess, as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by her maternal and paternal grandparents, her parents, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and a few nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday (February 26, 2026) from 11AM to 1PM at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Rd., Olean. A funeral service will begin at 1PM, with burial to follow in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Cattaraugus County SPCA, 2944 Route 16, Olean, NY 14760, Joyful Rescues, 1319 Turock Drive, Cuba, NY 14727, or to an animal organization of the donor’s choice.
