Obituary of Linda L. LaClaire

Linda L. LaClaire Hamburg, NY Linda L. LaClaire, 66, Hamburg passed away Wednesday (November 12, 2025) at Hospice in Buffalo, Palliative Care Unit on Como Park Blvd in Cheektowaga. Born November 23, 1958 in Olean, she was the daughter of David W. and Onolee Nudd Howard. On June 16, 2007 in Melbourne Beach, FL she married David P. LaClaire who survives. Linda was a graduate of Allegany Central School and the Olean Business Institute. She achieved her bachelor’s degree from Empire College in Buffalo. She was employed as an accountant for Catholic Health Systems in Buffalo prior to her retirement in 2024. Her favorite hobbies included reading, gardening, and cross stich. She was a passionate fan of the Buffalo Sabres, the Buffalo Bills, and the Chicago Cubs, and her family considered her the best of cooks. She leaves behind her husband David; a son, Adam (Nicole) Rogers of Gifford, PA; a daughter, Sara (Henry) Evans of Erlanger, KY; a stepson, John-David LaClaire; five grandchildren, Aubree, Alex, Bella, Savannah, and Lauren; two brothers, James (Christine) Howard of Eldred, PA, and Steven (Janet) Howard of Blades, DE, and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11am to 1pm at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Rd., Olean. A service will begin at 1pm in the funeral home, followed by burial in Five Mile Cemetery, Allegany. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Buffalo, C/O The Mary and Ralph C.
