Obituary of Cathy L. Stuckey

Cathy L. Stuckey “Beloved Daughter, Sister, Aunt” Olean, NY Cathy L. Stuckey, 66, of Olean, passed away unexpectedly Saturday (July 26, 2025) at the Olean General Hospital. Born March 8, 1959 in Olean, she was one of three daughters born to William and Jane Moody Stuckey. Cathy was a 1977 graduate of Olean High School. She began working at the former St. Francis Hospital in the dietary department. After 15 years, the hospitals merged to become Olean General Hospital where she worked for a bit more time. She remained at the hospital as a volunteer for 22 more years until 2020. She was affectionately known to her family as the QVC “Queen” because she enjoyed knowing what was being promoted next and occasionally purchased some of its treasures. In addition to her years of volunteering at the hospital, she was a former member of the Allegany Baptist Church and was active with its youth group. More recently she attended Believer’s Chapel. Cathy leaves behind her beloved mother Jane Williams of Olean; two sisters, Cindy (Dan Bennett) Wilson of Allegany, and Pam (Dave Reed) Stuckey of Olean; Mary Ann (Bob) Chambers of Olean whom she loved as family; a niece, Beth Ann (George) Wallace; two nephews, Geoffrey Wilson and Bradley Stuckey, and several cousins. She was predeceased by her father, Williams Stuckey; her stepfather, Frank Williams, Sr., her stepbrother, Frank Williams, Jr., and a great niece, Zoe Wilson. The family will receive friends on Wednesday (July 30, 2025) from 11am until 2pm at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Rd., Olean. A funeral service will begin at 2pm in the funeral home. Pastor Al Batt will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Olean.
