Dear Diehl Family; We send you our deepest sympathy and love at this time of the loss of Gus. He was such a special person and will be missed terribly by all who knew him. We delivered meals on wheels to Gus and Rita for a while and it was such a pleasure to visit them. They always had such a great sense of humor and a very positive outlook on life---no matter the circumstances. Muriel also knew Rita from the Y. She was such a joy to know and have in our class. Always had a quick come-back. We have missed delivering meals to them and seeing them each week. We wish all of you the best and pray that God will richly bless each of you and grant you strength, comfort and peace. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. My condolences to Mary, and the entire Diehl family. Dr. Diehl was a Bona man all the way. I first remember him timing at the men's swim meets in the early '70s, and as the first Bona womens swim coach. He was dedicated to helping enhance the Bona experience for his students and athletes. I'm so very sorry to hear if Dr. Diehl's passing. He was, by far, one of the most influential professors in my life ar St. Bonaventure. I always remember him fondly and with great respect. God blesz your family in this difficult time.
