My mother, Marion, was middle sister to Bob's mother, Ella. Being that he is four years older, I have known him my entire life as has my brother, James Bruce Travis, 87. I can recall spending some time at their home after we drove over from Bradford, PA. I watched as they tapped trees behind the home for the maple syrup they gained. Ella always seemed to have the best cookies on hand, a recipe we were never able to duplicate. When he came out of the Seebees at Port Hueneme, CA in 1963, my wife & I drove there to bring Bob to Montebello, CA. for a visit. Several years ago, Jim & I visited the log cabin home, mentioned here, and saw what a wonderful job he had done. Better cousins do not exist than this one, Bob, whom we loved very much.
