Rochester, NY Craig F. Eaton, 67, of Rochester, passed away Saturday (April 24, 2021) at Highland Hospital in Rochester after a brief illness.
Born January 19, 1954 in Olean, he was the son of Clayton E. and Kathleen M. Nenno Eaton.
Craig was a graduate of Allegany High School and later graduated with honors from St. Bonaventure University in 1978.
He was employed by Goodwill Industries in Rochester, particularly for the Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired where his department produced Air Force physical training uniforms. He enjoyed his 37 years of employment, took pride in his work, and was considered a leader among his peers.
Craig enjoyed conversations about the Buffalo Bills and also the NY Yankees. He was also a devout Christian and was a man of strong faith.
He will be missed by his beloved family, including a sister Suzanne (Joseph) Gaughn of Allegany; 2 brothers Thomas (Louise) Eaton of Suwannee, GA and Clayton Eaton of Allegany; and several nieces and nephews.
Craig was one of a set of triplets. His brother Christopher died 12 days after birth. His older brother Jon died on May 1, 2015. He was also predeceased by his parents.
Friends will be received on Friday (April 30, 2021) from 2-3pm at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd., Olean. A prayer service will begin at 3pm in the funeral home, followed by a committal service at St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Rev. James Vacco, OFM, will officiate.
