Obituary of Charles N. Morgan

Charles N. Morgan Allegany, NY Charles N. Morgan, 90, of 3988 Church Rd., passed away Friday (April 2, 2021) at his home, in the loving comfort of his longtime companion, Georgia. Born January 24, 1931 in Olean, he was the son of Ernest N. and Julia M. Smith Morgan. Charlie spent his working years in construction, driving tractor trailer all over the country, and later operated a dairy farm as well as drove a dump truck. He always enjoyed the outdoors and was a hard-working man. He liked to hunt deer and occasionally fished. He truly enjoyed caring for horses, especially his favorite, Bucky. He leaves behind his loving companion Georgia Carr and her two daughters Sue Chesebro Ofano and Carol (Mike Myszka) Chesebro; 5 children Kenneth (Kathryn) Morgan of Snellville, GA, Judy Merritts of Clearfield, PA, James (Roxanne) Morgan of Grand Island, Diana (Robert) Byron of Celina, OH and Brian (Bambi) Morgan of Allegany; 16 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; 2 brothers Daniel Morgan of Lexington, KY and Dennis (Eileen) Morgan of Allegany; 1 sister Anne Evens of Olean and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter Marlene Moore in 2018; 3 brothers Lewis Morgan, Robert Morgan and David Morgan and a sister Marilyn Sebring. At Charles' request, there will be no public funeral service. Burial will be in Five Mile Cemetery, Allegany. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Allegany Engine Co., 188 W. Main St., Allegany, NY 14706. Arrangements are under the direction of the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, Olean.
