Olean – Dennis M. Martin Sr., 51, passed away unexpectedly Thursday (December 24, 2020). Born April 8,1969 in Olean, he was the son of Halley (Sr.) and Anne (McCue) Martin. He attended Olean High School. He was predeceased by his son Paul Martin, his sister Anne (Martin) Mohr, and brother Benjamin Martin. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, being out outdoors and spending time with friends. He is survived by 3 children Sierra (Eric) Fisher of Fort Sam Houston, TX, Dennis Martin Jr. and Sydney Martin both of Eureka, CA; ; 2 grandchildren Riley Shattuck and Alaric Fisher of Fort Sam Houston, TX ; 8 brothers and sisters Charles ( Janet) Martin of Allegany, Patrick ( Cindy) Martin of Olean, Halley Martin Jr. of Olean, Penny ( James) Payne of Portville, Pamela ( Keith Zielinksi ) Swanson of Eldred, Paula( Robert ) Garrey of Bolivar, Jennifer Martin of Olean, Rebecca ( Chad) Green of Allegany and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held at a later date and will be announced. Arrangements are under the direction of the Casey, Halwig and Hartle Funeral Home. Memorials if desired may be made to Humboldt Bay Fire Department Water Rescue Division in Eureka, CA in honor of his son Paul Martin. Their business address is 533 C Street Eureka, CA 95501.
