Thomas O. Schoonover, Sr.
West Clarksville, NY Thomas O. Schoonover, Sr., 80, passed away peacefully Wednesday (October 24, 2018) at the Veterans Administration, WNY Medical Center, Buffalo.
Born August 7, 1938 in Friendship he was the son of George Albert and Esther Laura Graves Schoonover.
Thomas was raised in Bradford, PA and later enlisted in the US Navy where he served 14 years from 1955 to 1969, including service in the Vietnam War. From 1970 until his retirement in 1995 he had been employed for Meadowbrook Dairy in Cuba.
He most enjoyed maintaining his home and spending time with his family.
Surviving are 4 children Deborah (David) Faw of Seattle, WA, Thomas (Beth) Schoonover, Jr. of Palm Bay, FL, Timothy (Tiffany) Schoonover of Denver, CO and Christopher Kenyon of Olean; 9 grandchildren; 1 brother Freemont Schoonover; 1 sister Mildred Bishop and several nieces and nephews, especially Bill Ingraham and Shirley Shreve with whom he was very close.
He was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
A private memorial service is being planned by the family.
