DANA G. DiCAPUA "Loving husband and uncle" OLEAN - Dana G. "Uncle Dan" !DiCapua of West Sullivan Street, Olean died Friday May 2, 2003 at the Waters of Allegany. Born December 4, 1923 in Olean he was a son of Caesar and Hazel Jones !DiCapua. On November 22, 1975 at the First Baptist Church in Olean, he married Marlyn "Molly" Follett who survives. Mr. !DiCapua served with the United States Army Air Corps, 82nd airborne during WWII where he earned the European African Middle Eastern Service medal with bronze arrowhead, good conduct medal, distinguished unit badge and the WWII victory medal. He later enlisted in the United States Air Force. He was employed for General Motors in Tonawanda, NY for nearly 20 years prior to retiring in 1969. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Olean. He enjoyed carpentry and woodworking. In addition to his wife he is survived by a sister, Dorothy Bender of Tonawanda, NY and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three sisters, Agnes Siago, Caroline Stevens and Zonia Newton; two brothers, Robert and Paul !DiCapua. Friends will be received on Monday May 5, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 West State Road, Olean. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday May 6, 2003 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church, Olean. Rev. Daniel !McDowell, pastor will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. View Cemetery, Olean. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Olean or to a charity of the donor's choice.
