ALFRED W. LINDERMOTH "Retired City Employee" OLEAN - Alfred W. Lindermoth, a resident of the Pines Healthcare and Rehabilitation died Sunday August 18, 2002 at the Olean General Hospital. Born in Olean on August 4, 1912 he was a son of Alfred C. and Maude M. Chadwick Lindermoth. On April 17, 1931 in Olean he married Ethel Brock who predeceased him June 8, 2001. Mr. Lindermoth was employed for the City of Olean Sanitation Department for over 33 years retiring as foreman in 1976. He was a former member of the Moose and was an avid bowler, bowling for many years on the Wednesday Niners League. He was a member of the NRA and enjoyed hunting and the outdoors. He is survived by two daughters Nancy (Robert) Sherbondy-Otrosinka of Allegany and Linda Lindermoth of Olean; Seven grandchildren and several great grandchildren; two sisters, Irene Bockmier of Niagara Falls and Margie Kennerknect of Ft. Myers, FL. Several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife he was predeceased by three daughters, Gloria Kozak, Josephine Lindermoth and Marian Lindermoth; a son William Lindermoth; a brother Arthur Lindermoth and a half brother Howard Chadwick; two sisters Mary Peasley and Patricia Johnston. Friends will be received on Wednesday August 21, 2002 from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 West State Road, Olean where funeral and committal services will be conducted on Thursday (Aug. 22, 2002) at 1100 AM. Rev. Frank Hayman, pastor of the Allegany Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Olean. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, the American Diabetes Association or to the SPCA in Cattaraugus County.
