Obituary of Mildred K. Neary

Mildred K. "Midge" Neary "longtime Medical Group employee" Olean, NY- Mildred K. "Midge" Neary, of 136 S. 1st St. died Tuesday (September 17, 2002) shortly after arrival at Olean General Hospital. Born October 11, 1932 in Olean, NY she was the daughter of James and Margaret Drake Kehoe, Sr. On September 26, 1953 at St. John’s Church in Olean she married Charles Richard "Dick" Neary who predeceased her December 20, 2001. Mrs. Neary graduated from St. Elizabeth Academy in Allegany and had resided in Olean most of her life. She had been employed at the Olean Medical Group for 36 years. She was a member of St. Mary of the Angels Church, the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Olean Historical and Preservation Society. She also served as the secretary for the Cattaraugus County Medical Society for many years. Surviving are 1 daughter Maureen Murabito of Northeast, Pa.; 2 sons Michael P. (Pam) Neary of Olean and Charles Brion (Karen) Neary of Lancaster, NY; 7 grandchildren; 3 brothers James Kehoe, Jr. of Olean, Jack (Gloria) Kehoe of Poughkeepsie, NY and Thomas (Sandy) Kehoe of Fairport, NY; 1 sister Suzanne (Daniel) Mc Carthy of Ocean City, NJ and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9pm in the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean where a prayer service will be held Saturday (September 21, 2002) at 9:30am. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00am in St. Mary of the Angels Church with Rev. Gregory Dobson, pastor, to be the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
