Joseph W. Pittman
Olean, NY Joseph W. Pittman, 49, of Olean, passed away at Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo on August 11, 2017, with his loving daughter by his side. His death came as a result of an accident that happened at his home earlier in the week.
Born March 11, 1968 in Cleveland, Ohio he was the son of Thomas and Anne Karl Pittman.
Joe attended schools in Painesville, OH and Allegany, completing his education with a GED and an electrical course at BOCES in Olean. He also earned a small engine repair certificate.
He enjoyed working on cars and repairing anything that needed attention. Joe was a handy man who was always willing to help others. He overcame many hurdles in his life. He became inspired to look at the positives and recognize the important aspects of life, devoting himself to creating loving relationships with his daughter and grandchildren.
He leaves behind his mother Anne Pittman of Allegany; a daughter Jillion Pittman of Olean; 3 grandchildren Hunter, Hayleigha and Heath; special friends Craig and Janet Moshier, cousins, and many loyal friends.
He was predeceased by his father Thomas in 1998 and many aunts and uncles.
Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean on Saturday (August 19, 2017) from 1-2pm at which time a memorial service will be held. At a later date to be announced, there will be a mass and celebration of Joe's life.
Flowers are gratefully declined. Joe's final gift was of useful organs donated for transplant to others in need of life saving surgery.
