Pendleton, SC- Paul F. Zaproski, a former Allegany Resident, passed away Monday (December 19, 2016) at his home. Born July 19, 1938 in Hornell he was the son of Joseph and Anastasia Malanowski Zaproski. On January 5, 1963 in St. Mary of the Angels Church, in Olean, he married Janet Creco, who predeceased him on October 2, 2016. Mr. Zaproski was a Veteran of the United States Army. He worked for 31 years for the former McGraw Edison now, Eaton Industries in Olean. He was a member of St. Andrews Catholic Church in Clemson, SC and a former member of St. Bonaventure Church. In his free time, he enjoyed doing yard work. Mr. Zaproski is survived by two sons David (Cheryl) Zaproski of Allegany and Michael Zaproski of Clarksville; one sister-in-law Jean Duggan of Olean; one nephew Ted (Kim Clayton) Duggan of Westons Mills; and two step-grandchildren Shane and Cory McDivitt. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by a son Thomas Zaproski; two brothers Thomas Zaproski and John Zaproski; and one sister Mary Leger Friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday (December 26, 2016) at St. Bonaventure Church at 10am. Rev. James Vacco, OFM, pastor will be the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Memorials if desired may be made to the SPCA in Cattaraugus County 2944 Olean-Hinsdale Road, Olean or to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
