Claude L. Austin, Jr. Bolivar, NY Claude L. Austin, Jr. of 161 Salt Rising Rd. passed away Saturday (June 25, 2016) at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester after a brief illness. Born December 4, 1947 in Wellsville he was the son of Claude L. and Mabel Margeson Austin, Sr. On August 23, 1967 in Edenton, NC he married Linda A. Geffers who survives. Claude was a graduate of Wellsville High School and was employed at Acme Electric Co. in Cuba for 38 years prior to his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, yard work and gardening. He also enjoyed camping at Sunny Hill campsite. He especially cherished his time with family. Surviving besides his wife are his dearly loved children Jeffery (Melanie) Austin of Bolivar, Kenny (Kelli) Austin of Converse, IN, Scott (Michelle) Austin of New Market, MD and Stephen (Erin) Austin of Cuba; 11 beloved grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and 2 sisters Lois Jean White and Mary Predmore. The family will received friends for a memorial visitation on Tuesday (June 28, 2016) from 4-6pm at the Schaffner Funeral Home, Inc. 554 South Main St. Bolivar. Private burial services will be in Maple Lawn Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 315 Alberta Drive, Suite 102 Amherst, NY 14226.
