Olean, NY Nancy L. Elliott-leFeber of 707 Main St. passed away Friday (May 20, 2016) at her home after more than a month-long illness. Born July 22, 1946 in Winnipeg, Saskatchewan in Canada she was the daughter of Ross and Mary Henry Armer. On June 22, 2001 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Allegany she married Rev. Gerard F. leFeber who survives. Nancy and her family moved from Canada to Cupertino, California where after graduation from San Jose State College she worked as a registered nurse for a number of years. A proud achievement for her was her naturalization as a US citizen in Buffalo. She moved to Olean in 1989 and retired from the Cattaraugus County Department of the Aging in 2010 after 13 years of service. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Olean, was an avid reader and she enjoyed doing volunteer work for the Olean General Hospital. Nancy was a loving and caring mother to her children and a loving grandmother to her grandchildren. Surviving besides her husband are 3 children from her former marriage to Frederick Elliott of Amherst Dr. Frederick Michael Elliott of Buffalo, Meiganne (Luis) Elliott-Serrano of Glen Rock, NJ and Patrick Elliott of Amherst; 2 granddaughters Sofia and Josephine Serrano; 1 grandson Matteo Serrano and 2 brothers Michael Armer and Steven Armer, both of Santa Clara, CA. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a son Ian A. Elliott on July 8, 2014. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean. Funeral services will be held Thursday (May 26, 2016) at 11:00am at Immanuel Lutheran Church, N. 4th and Laurens Sts. Olean. Rev. Derek Cheek, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Allegany Cemetery. Memorials may be made to either the St. John's Lutheran Church in Allegany or the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Olean.
