CHLOIE M. FANTON - FARLEY OLEAN - Chloie M. Fanton - Farley, formerly of Stannards, died Monday January 13, 2003 at St. Joseph Manor. Born in Alma, NY on July 8, 1915 she was a daughter of Glen and Ruth Ann Hathaway Horton. On July 29, 1923 in Stannards, NY she married Elmer Fanton who predeceased her September 1982. She later married Jay Farley in 1986 who predeceased her in 1996. She owned and operated the Vogue dress shop in Wellsville, NY for over ten years. She was later employed as a dental assistant to Robert Bentley, DDS retiring in 1974. She was an active member of the Stannards Methodist Church and enjoyed sewing and crocheting. Surviving are two daughters, Barbara Finnemore of Wellsville, NY and Mary Lou (Fred) Nichols of Olean; three grandchildren; a sister Mildred Lovel of Westfield, PA and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husbands she was predeceased by a sister and three brothers. There will be no public visitations. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 West State Road, Olean on Wednesday January 15, 2003 at 11:00 AM. Rev. David Hearn, pastor of the South Side Chapel will officiate. Burial will be in Stannards Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Manor or to the American Heart Association.
