Obituary of Trudy O. Fehr

Trudy O. Fehr Allegany, NY-- Trudy O. Fehr of 3659 Five Mile Road died peacefully Thursday (March 13, 2003) in her home after an illness of several months. Born April 8, 1946 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin she was the daughter of Erwin and Viola Ohm. On July 10, 1973 in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin she married Leroy Fehr who survives. Trudy was a graduate of Mount Mary College in Milwaukee and taught English, Speech, and Theater Arts in area high schools. She moved with her husband to Allegany, NY in 1981. She was active in various community and school organizations and served as President of PTO, Academic Boosters, and Welcome Wagon. Trudy was a loving and devoted wife and mother. Her passions were being with her family, sewing, reading mystery novels, and collecting dolls. She was an accomplished seamstress and also enjoyed the theater, movies, family road trips, and spending time with friends. Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter Tracy L. Fehr and a son, Kevin J. Fehr, attending law school and college, respectively. There will be no visitation. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service to be held Monday (March 17, 2003) at 7:30pm in the Friary Chapel, located in the Friar’s residence at St. Bonaventure University. Fr. James Vacco, OFM will officiate. Burial will be in Wisconsin at a later date. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Allegany-Limestone Academic Boosters or to the Allegany Fire Department. Arrangements are under the direction of the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, Olean.
